Portsmouth/Brighton

So decided to head down to the south coast and see what there was to see. Spent Saturday in Portsmouth and Sunday in Brighton with Alan as my tour guide.

Getting to Portsmouth was a bit of a long trip, the trains were not running due to them working on the lines so we had to take the bus. The bus already made the trip longer than it should have been but we were lucky enough to have REALLY bad traffic aswell. It was a long trip but we finally made it and had a chance to check out all the old war ships.

I took a pic of the HMS Warrior, but we only went onto the HMS Victory and the Mary Rose. Or should I say we went onto the HMS Victory and looked at the ruins of the Mary Rose. The HMS Victory is the ship that Lord Nelson was killed by a French sniper. Alan laughed at me cos when we reached the ship I said that I thought it was a pretty boat. He wonders what Admiral Nelson would have said if I told him that he had a pretty boat. One of my favourite parts was the end of the boat where there was two carvings of cherubs, very pretty me thinks.

After looking at the "pretty boats" we headed to Spinnaker tower in Portsmouth which gives a beautiful view of the coast line you could even see Isle of Wight. Unfortunately my battery died so no pics of this one. The tower was built for the millenium but it was only completed in 2004 or something wierd.

On sunday we headed off to Brighton before I made my way home back to London. I quite enjoyed walking along the coastline and the pier was cool too. They even have a little SA shop on the pier made me feel all nostalgic. At the end of the pier there is a funfair, if we had had more time I would have had a blast going on all the rides.

After our strole down the pebble beach we headed to the Royal Pavillion. Really wierd decor it was all oriental - not really what one would expect. My favourite wasw the big dining hall, the chandelier is held up by a dragon on the ceiling looks really cool. Unfortunately no pics were allowed inside.

Wicked

Mirielle and I decided to get together and catch up on the things we did during the holidays. We decided to just walk around in London untill we found a nice looking place to chill and found ourselves at Leicester Square. We made a last minute decision to buy tickets to see Wicked - they had tickets on special.

Unfortunately I left my camera at home so I only have a pic of the Wicked sign that I took last time I was at Victoria station. Leicester Square was pretty cool but I really enjoyed watching Wicked. It was brilliant, and I would recommend it to anyone.
