Housemates

Ok, plans for the weekend landed up not happening so the update for this weekend is a photo of my housemates. Hopefully for your guys sake this blog will start getting more interesting.

Ok so from left to right; Willem, Cecille and De Wet. Dunno if I spelt Cecille correctly. Willem works for the company that owns the house. Cecille and De Wet are a couple, Cecille is in marketing and I think De Wet is in the computer industry not sure what exactly though. They are really cool.

The photo is taken in the lounge and the reason that all the laptops are out is because we were ordering food - why spend money on a phonecall when you can place an order on the internet. Mr Delivery eat your heart out. ;o)

My Temporary Home

Hi all, after a long leave of absence I finally have the opportunity to show you my place of residence.

It seemed only fitting to start with the front door, the little patio you see in front of the door contains a gas braai which I'm sure will prove to be quite entertaining in the summer. Willem is really keen on his braais though and in the time that I have been here we have already had 2 despite the weather. Out back we have another little patio with a normal braai.

Here is my little room, notice my laptop in the corner, hee, hee, hee. My bed is a double bed so the room isn't as small as it may seem. It's cosy and serves its purpose. There are 4 of us in the house, 2 bathrooms.

This is my street, after it snowed ;o) its not the best photo in the world but it looked absolutely stunning hence my smile in the next photo. I got a couple of wierd looks from people cos I had my camera out and was taking photo's but I was not the only one and if you look carefully I have documented some proof. By the way my street looks quite pretty without snow as well.

Lastly but definitely not least - my back "garden". Ok, not just mine but makes things feel very natural and peaceful - good break from the hustle and bustle of London life. I often hear the geese calls, gives a nice relaxing holiday feel.

Missing you all, hope things are going well in sunny SA.

New Years Eve

New Years Eve in London. I spent the evening on some bridge - I think it might have been called Waterloo bridge but I do know that it is near Waterloo station. From the bridge you could see the London Eye, houses of parliment and Big Ben. At midnight they had a 10min fireworks display, really awesome. By the end of the display there was so much smoke that you couldn't see the London Eye anymore even though it was lit up.

Spent the evening with Alvin and a group of his friends. I have included this photo so you can all see my new jacket - it was the first pounds I have ever spent. You can also see London Eye in the background.
