New Years Eve in London. I spent the evening on some bridge - I think it might have been called Waterloo bridge but I do know that it is near Waterloo station. From the bridge you could see the London Eye, houses of parliment and Big Ben. At midnight they had a 10min fireworks display, really awesome. By the end of the display there was so much smoke that you couldn't see the London Eye anymore even though it was lit up.
Spent the evening with Alvin and a group of his friends. I have included this photo so you can all see my new jacket - it was the first pounds I have ever spent. You can also see London Eye in the background.

Hi there Heath,
We are so glad that you were able to have a great New Years Eve. The fireworks look amazing.
We are really sorry that we did not meet up with you either back here in SA or there before we came back, but i am sure we will keep in regular contact.
Glad to hear that you already have a job abd a place to stay and you never know, maybe some of the Afrikaans people will know a really hot Irish boy for you. Otherwise you can always go through to Ireland and spend a few days with my aunt. I would suggest a day ferry so you don't end up with over 24 hours of travelling like we had.
We are back safe and sound although i am still as sick as a dog and Jem needs a visit to the vet. We think she got in a fight, stupid cat!
Hope to chat to you soon

Good luck for your first day at work, we'll be thinking of you.
Looks like you had a fab time on New Years. It's just the start to many wonderful experiences that we can't wait to hear about.
Hello there ol' Chap
Looks like frightfully splendid weather. Makes you just want to pop off to the beach for a paddle!
:)
Although, it was pretty chilly in Joburg that night, I had to put a jersey on!
Righto, Cheerio then!
